At PAC, we’re acutely aware of the impact our business has on the environment, so we’ve pledged to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
We’ve been working tirelessly to reduce the impact we have on the environment as more businesses move their core infrastructure online.
Planting trees
Trees are the lungs of our planet and as industry produces more carbon, whilst equally destroying vast swathes of our forests, it’s imperative we work together to preserve and restore our biodiversity.
At PAC, we have pledged to play our part by planting trees for each and every new hosting package and then every single month onwards that you have that hosting package with us.
Carbon offsetting
Planting trees takes several years to be able to sequester carbon in quantity so whilst we absolutely need to plant trees for the future it is important we also do our bit to offset carbon now.
To do this we buy carbon credits for every new hosting package we sell.
We only fund offset projects which meet the highest verification standards, such as Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard.
Renewable energy
The IAAS platform we use is powered completely by energy from the wind, sun and sea.
New customers go straight onto this platform and we are working to transfer all our existing customers to it.
We’re on track to move all existing customers to the new platform by the end of 2023.
