Domain Registration Terms

PAC WEBHOSTING LTD · Registered in England and Wales, company number 06221654 · Last updated: 28 September 2026

Contents

  1. 1. Agreements you accept
  2. 2. Your details
  3. 3. Renewals and expiry
  4. 4. Transfers
  5. 5. Disputes

These Domain Registration Terms apply whenever PAC WEBHOSTING LTD registers, renews or transfers a domain name for you. They form part of our Terms of Service. If the two conflict on a domain matter, these terms take precedence.

Every domain extension is run by a registry, and domains are registered through an accredited registrar. PAC is a Nominet accredited registrar, so we register .uk domains directly with Nominet. Other extensions are registered through our registrar partner, CentralNic Reseller. When you order a domain from us, you also agree to the registry’s and registrar’s terms for that extension, listed below. We act as your agent in registering the domain, and you remain the legal registrant (owner) of it.

1. Agreements you accept

Domain extension Agreements that apply
.uk (.uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk and others) Nominet’s Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration and .UK policies, including Nominet’s Dispute Resolution Service
.gov.uk Everything that applies to .uk, plus the additional terms for .gov.uk
All other extensions (.com, .net, .org, .io, new gTLDs and other country codes) The CentralNic Reseller Registration Agreement, the registry’s own policies for that extension, and ICANN’s Registrants’ Benefits and Responsibilities for generic extensions

Registries and registrars update their terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one in force on their website when the domain is registered, renewed or transferred.

2. Your details

2.1 Ownership. Domains are registered in the name you give us as registrant. That’s you or your organisation, not PAC.

2.2 Accurate details. You must give accurate, up-to-date registrant details and keep them current in the client area. Registries can suspend or cancel domains with false or out-of-date details.

2.3 Verification. For many extensions, the registry or registrar will email you to verify your details, for example after a new registration or a change of registrant. If you don’t respond within the time given, usually 15 days, the domain may be suspended until you do.

2.4 WHOIS and privacy. Registrant details are sent to the registry and may be published in WHOIS/RDAP under its rules. For most generic extensions, personal details are now hidden by default. For .uk, individuals can opt out of having their address shown. Where a privacy (ID protection) service is available, you can choose it at order or transfer.

3. Renewals and expiry

3.1 Renewal dates. Domains renew for the period you choose. To protect your domain, we set the renewal due date 14 days before the actual expiry date. That leaves time to sort out any payment problem, such as an expired card, before the registry could suspend the domain. We email the renewal invoice in advance of the due date. If you’ve paid by card, PayPal or Direct Debit, we’ll take payment automatically. You can also renew early, and add extra years, at any time from the client area, up to the maximum the registry allows (usually 10 years in total). The extra years are added on to your current expiry date, so you don’t lose any time.

3.2 Auto-renew. Auto-renew is on for every domain by default. Turning it off in the client area tells us you no longer want the domain. We then won’t raise a renewal invoice or send renewal reminders, and the domain will expire and be lost. Please only turn off auto-renew if you’re sure you no longer need the domain, or if you’re transferring it to another provider.

3.3 Renewal prices. Renewals are charged at our current price for that extension when the renewal invoice is raised.

3.4 Expiry and redemption. If a renewal isn’t paid, the domain will expire and may stop working, including your website and email. Registries have grace and redemption periods, which vary by extension. Restoring a domain in its redemption period costs extra, and the registry’s redemption fee is payable by you. After that, the domain can be cancelled and registered by someone else.

3.5 No refunds. Domain registrations and renewals can’t be refunded once submitted to the registry. They aren’t covered by our money-back guarantee (Terms of Service, clause 5).

4. Transfers

4.1 Transferring away. Your domain is yours to move. We won’t charge a fee or hold it back without good reason.

  • .uk: ask your new provider for their IPS tag, then change it in the client area or ask us.
  • Other extensions: request the authorisation (EPP) code from the client area or by ticket, and make sure the domain is unlocked.

4.2 Transfer locks. Registry rules may stop a domain being transferred for 60 days after it’s registered or transferred, or after a change of registrant. We can’t override these locks.

4.3 Transferring to us. Transfers include a renewal where the registry requires it. We can’t complete a transfer until the current provider releases the domain.

5. Disputes

5.1 Ownership disputes. Disputes over who should own a domain are decided under the registry’s procedures: Nominet’s Dispute Resolution Service for .uk, and ICANN’s Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) for most generic extensions. We don’t decide ownership disputes. We follow the outcome of those procedures, and any court order.

5.2 Legal requirements. We may suspend, lock or transfer a domain where a registry, dispute provider, court or law enforcement agency requires it.
