What SPF record should I use with my web hosting?

To ensure mail delivery you need to use the correct SPF records

Article in:

We use a relay to help with outbound email delivery rates and avoid blocklists and emails delivering to junk/spam folders etc

If you have a Green Shared or Green Reseller hosting package or any of our legacy shared hosting packages this information applies.

The correct SPF record to use with our web hosting is: –

v=spf1 ~all

If you are using our nameservers for your domain then this should already be in place and may also contain some other records within.

If you do not use our nameservers for your domain* and control your domains DNS records with a third party provider then you will need to ensure that you add the above SPF entry if none already exists.

Or if an SPF entry already exists in your third party DNS provider to add within your existing record and save.

A typical existing entry may look something like: –

v=spf1 ip4: ~all

To add our record it would then make it for example: –

v=spf1 ip4: ~all

*If you use a third party provider and are having difficulty adding or checking if one is already setup you will need to speak to your DNS provider for support with that.
